he innovation company Zimply will staff foodora's office with AI assistants. The purpose is to relieve the employees of the e-commerce company and increase accessibility for foodora's customers.
foodora is Sweden's most popular platform for home delivery of food, retail products, and groceries. The company is part of the global corporation Delivery Hero, founded by the Swedish entrepreneur Niklas Östberg. Now, AI assistants are set to take the delivery giant to new heights.
"Today, foodora Sweden has over 6,000 employees and continues to grow rapidly. With assistance from Zimply's AI assistants, our employees will be able to focus and dedicate all their time to creating even greater value for our customers and partners," says Jonathan Hegbrant, Chief Financial Officer of foodora Sweden.
Zimply's AI assistants are designed to automate repetitive tasks, such as invoice management, orders, and data collection. At foodora, the assistants will, among other things, take over administrative tasks that were previously performed during evenings and weekends.
"We are increasing accessibility during the less accessible times and using technical solutions for the more monotonous tasks. An AI assistant has the capacity to work around the clock and throughout the year. Therefore, an automation solution can assist and relieve existing teams," says Fred Alpsten, CEO of Zimply.
foodora estimates that automation will reduce the lead time from a restaurant or store becoming their partner to products being available in the app.
Zimply was founded in 2018 and has clients such as Acne Studios, EnterCard, Futur Pension, Samhällsbyggnadsbolaget (SBB), Dina Försäkringar, and Wise Professionals. With foodora, the innovation company takes a significant step into last-mile delivery.
"We are very excited about working to streamline foodora's operations. Zimply's offering, freeing people from repetitive tasks, is clearly in demand, and we are undoubtedly ready to continue tackling new markets," says Fred Alpsten, CEO of Zimply.
